P.O.V. Bookcase

£8,000.00 GBP
Tax included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

As with life the P.O.V. (Point Of View) Bookcase is all a matter of perspective. Inspired by Agamograph art, P.O.V. uses colour to create two different aesthetics when viewed from different positions - stand to the left of the bookcase and one colour is visible, but move to the right and another colour emerges.

Key Features:

  • Two Tone: By applying a different colour to each side of its vertical supports the P.O.V. Bookcase conceals a dual nature that only reveals itself as the user journeys past.
  • Engaging: Through the simple and effective application of colour, the P.O.V. Bookcase becomes a visual curiosity that compels the user’s engagement. It requires them to traverse across the room to witness its dynamism, or it allows them to nestle themselves in a particular spot where the colour they see resonates most with their mood.
  • Designed to Last: P.O.V. is constructed from laminated plywood, making the surfaces hard-wearing and durable. They are also resistant to water, chemicals, abrasions, colour fading and stains, allowing for easy cleaning and maintenance.
  • Designed for Life: The large scale of the P.O.V. Bookcase ensures there is plentiful storage for all of life’s demands.
  • Customisable: P.O.V. is available in a standard size and an array of colours, but can be customised to fit effortlessly into your unique space. Contact us to get more information and pricing.
  • Made in Britain: P.O.V. is made in Yorkshire by our experienced craftsmen and women. Every piece that comes out of our workshop is made with care and attention, to the highest standards, to ensure a lifetime of good service.

- Agamograph art is a form of kinetic art where a piece changes appearance based on the vantage point of the viewer. Most pieces are 3D in nature, and involve a change in imagery and/or colour as the viewer's position changes. Agamographs were first created by the Israeli artist Yaacov Agam.
